Is your NG Extension Manager spinning its wheels and stuck on "Checking for Updates"? Don't worry, it happens! Let's get it unstuck!
Try These Things!
-
Give it a Refresh!
- Sometimes, the extension just needs a little nudge.
- Type
chrome://extensionsinto your Chrome address bar and press Enter. - Find the NG Extension Manager.
- Try turning it off and back on again (or click the little circular arrow "Reload" button).
-
Reload the Page!
- If that didn't work, try reloading the page where you're using the NG Extension Manager.
- Press
Ctrl + R(orCmd + Ron a Mac) on your keyboard.
-
Check Your Internet!
- The NG Extension Manager needs the internet to check for updates.
- Make sure you're connected to the internet and that it's working. Can you visit other websites?
-
Restart Chrome!
- If it's still stuck, try restarting Chrome.
- Close all your Chrome windows and then open Chrome again.
-
Look for Troublemakers!
- Sometimes, other extensions can cause problems.
- Try turning off any extensions you've added recently to see if that helps.
-
Try Again!
- If nothing else works, try uninstalling the NG Extension Manager and then installing it again.
Why Does This Happen?
- Little Hiccups: Sometimes, extensions just get a little confused and need a refresh.
- Internet Problems: If your internet goes away while the extension is working, it can get stuck.
- Extension Friends (or Foes!): Sometimes, other extensions don't play nicely together.
