I am working on this example in tandem with trying to extend the linkml-map specification to support this metadata. At the moment, it is not supported.

Added detailed mapping templates and slot derivations to datacite-to-dcat-ap.transform.json and .jsonld, covering all main DataCite to DCAT-AP transformations. Introduced new creator.instance.yml and agent.instance.yml example files. Updated Makefile to use creator.instance.yml as the source for dcat-dataset.instance.yml generation, reflecting the expanded mapping scope.
Renamed creator.instance.yml to datacite-creator.instance.yml and dataset.instance.yml to datacite-resource.instance.yml for clarity. Updated the Makefile to use the new file names and source types. Removed obsolete agent.instance.yml and dcat-dataset.instance.yml files.
Introduces a new example instance file (dcat-dataset.instance.yml) representing a comprehensive climate change dataset mapped to DCAT. Updates the DataCite-to-DCAT-AP transform files (JSON, JSON-LD, YAML) to add a top-level Dataset mapping, clarify slot derivations, and rename several mapping classes for consistency (e.g., Date, Rights, GeoLocation). Removes redundant 'populated_from' fields from mapping classes where not needed.
Reworks the DataCite-to-DCAT-AP transform to use a simplified, DCAT-AP-aligned schema and mapping. Updates the instance example to match the new schema, consolidating and renaming fields for better alignment with DCAT-AP (e.g., 'titles' to 'title', 'creators' to 'creator', 'subjects' to 'theme', etc.). Adds a new dcat.schema.yml file defining the simplified DCAT-AP schema for use in transformation examples. Updates the Makefile to use unrestricted evaluation for the transformation.
