Summary

fix image resizing logic so dimensions aren't reduced to 1x1
add detailed debug logging around resize calculations
create regression test ensuring resize is called with sensible dimensions
add lightweight stubs for external modules so tests run

Testing

PYTHONPATH=. python tests/pytest.py (fails: AssertionError)
