Editors frequently move in and out of Edit mode for several reasons:
- Save Progress: Toggle F1 to save edits
- Test Changes: Return to Point of Sale mode to verify changes work intuitively
- Navigate Efficiently: Use Point of Sale mode's intuitive navigation
- Iterate Quickly: Switch between editing and testing
Editing requires use of both modes:
- Edit Mode: Technical modifications and setup
- Point of Sale Mode: Intuitive verification and navigation testing
This dual-mode approach ensures interfaces are both technically correct and user-friendly for hospitality staff.
- F1: Toggle between Edit Mode โ Training Mode
- F11: Emergency revert (discard unsaved changes)
- Page List: Quick navigation and button management
- Dual Navigation: Edit mode for building, Point of Sale mode for testing
- Frequent Saving: Use F1 often to prevent losing work
Understanding these navigation modes is essential for effectively building and maintaining ViewTouch interfaces that serve both technical editors and frontline hospitality staff.
