It seems that the ➕ icon is also commonly used elsewhere, to create a new chat instance. Maybe it could be interesting to follow the same pattern? It may also be related to #111.

The button to clear the chat messages in the input toolbar is probably confusing, but I don't think that we have an easy way to add a button elsewhere currently.
