Use Case

We would like to use Vertica as an input database for telegraf, but it isn't currently on the supported drivers list.

There is a go driver for Vertica here: https://github.com/vertica/vertica-sql-go

I don't know how to tell if it is a "pure go" driver though.

Expected behavior

Be able to use Vertica as an SQL input.

Actual behavior

Can not use Vertica, as there is no driver support.
