Feature: Cursor Must Change to a Hand When Hovering Over a Folder in Single-Click Mode

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

In File Explorer, when the option for single-click to open a file is selected, the cursor changes into a hand over the file/folder, underlining it to indicate that the file can be clicked.

Please consider creating this feature where the cursor changes into a hand.

Aside from File Explorer already having this feature, is there a specific use case for this behavior? Even before enabling 'open items with a single click,' items could be selected and clicked, so it's unclear how a different cursor would make any difference.

It would mostly be an accessibility feature. Lets the user know the next click will perform an action.

This works for File Explorer, as it treats the single click icons as hyperlinks. If we were to use the finger icon, we may also need to display the underline for the text on hover, to really make it behave like a web link.

I don't think Files wouldn't need to make them look like links as some buttons do show the click hand without and underline. Picture in picture in Edge and probably other Chromium browsers do this. it's inconstant across all of Windows and programs anyway.

I think following majority of Windows and WinUI which already Files does would be best.

The hover background is already meant to show that the item is selectable or actionable. What you're really requesting is to change the cursor of all visual elements, including sidebar items and other buttons throughout the app.
