Announcing the Upcoming v1.0.0 Release of the Terraform Provider for dbt Cloud! 🎉

We're excited to announce that the v1.0.0 release of the Terraform Provider for dbt Cloud is planned for release in approximately one month! This marks a significant step forward for the provider, bringing enhanced stability, new features, and a more consistent user experience.

Important: Potential Breaking Changes Ahead

As we move towards the 1.0.0 stable release, we want to make you aware that this release will include breaking changes compared to the current versions. These changes are necessary to:

• Remove specific connection resources in favor of the global_connection resource
• Remove all dependencies to sdkv2 in favor of Framework
• Ensure long-term stability and maintainability.
• Align the provider more closely with the dbt Cloud API.
• Address inconsistencies and bugs identified in earlier versions.

What This Means for You

If you are currently using the Terraform Provider for dbt Cloud and have automatic upgrades enabled, your Terraform configurations may break upon upgrading to v1.0.0.

We strongly recommend that you:

• Pin your provider version to avoid unexpected automatic upgrades. You can do this in your Terraform configuration like so:
