project pages go to page not found

Hello,

I moved temporarily all the 1_project.md through 9_project.md files into a _drafts folder to hide them until needed.

I removed work, fun from the display categories in the projects.md file and replaced with 4 of my own.
I moved 3 projects from _drafts back over to _projects and changed their categories to agree with the new ones.
I used the re-direct project template and it works fine and re-directs.
But the projects are going to file not found.

On hover over the link in the lower left of browser looks good.
Is there an important detail I am missing? Is there another file involved?

the _config.yml file needed to be changed project = false was set to project = true
