Why my latest post cannot be published?

I found that every time i add a new post to the '_posts' folder, it cannot be shown in the next deploy action, and if i add another post, the second latest one can be published to my website.
So is it a feature or just my post is in wrong format or something... I'm quite comfused.

Maybe it has something to do with the timestamp you add? Can you provide a link to a failing post, for example?

Here is the failing post, and after this post has been added to the repo, the previous one (which cannot been seen/cannot be published correctly on my website) can be seen on my website.
So in my opinion there must be some problem..

If you duplicate that post and add it to yesterday date, for example, does it appear correctly?

I duplicated it and change the name to "2025-07-15-thoughts-after-reading-2.md", and both of the posts can be published to my website successfully...

Remember that there are 2 places where you should add the date: the filename and also its front matter.

So the correct format is: filename: yesterday; front: today?

No, both with the same date. Note that in the front matter you also have the timestamp, so maybe it has something to do with it?

I set a template file in Intellij Idea and automatically set the date to the time i create the post. Like this:

layout: post
title: ${postname} 
date: ${YEAR}-${MONTH}-${DAY} ${TIME}:00
description: 
tags: thoughts, travels, graphics, game-engine, others
categories: weekly-sync, life, coding

But the date i have set is definitely earlier than the time i commit and push my changes, so it should be publish by github actions i guesses...
By the way, is 'last_updated' matters?

Not sure how it handle timezones though. Check jekyll/jekyll#9278.

And what do you mean by last updated? If it is from the file metadata, no it doesn't matter.
