Excluding sample-post

How do I remove sample-posts from the build? Strangely, even after deleting them all, they still show up on my online build! I am stumped. They are removed in the local build. Even after deleting _site and rebuilding everything, the online site still shows sample posts!

Are you sure the online build is being updated? Where are you hosting your website?

Absolutely. I saw all other changes take effect, and the gh-pages branch update. The actions tab showed deploy-site checked. Since I could not make sense of this problem, nor could I find any mention of it in the documentation, I gave up on al-folio and went back to customising the minima theme. Al-folio is well crafted, but it has way too many moving parts to take care of. Three of the four actions kept failing. Also, removing the distill style blog crashed the whole deployment, both locally and on gh.

Sorry you felt this way. We are always looking for improvements, and trying to answer questions as soon as possible. The _site/ directory should not be versioned, and it should be handled automatically by jekyll.
