I don't like it. :) (But I do like and appreciate this app, which is why I'm taking the time here. )

The initial "Add folder to queue" is confusing - I don't want to add anything to a queue; I just want to compress a directory.*

After that, "Compress Selected", an action button - is on the left side, but uncomp/compress again (also action buttons for presumably the same thing) are on the right.

Now I have three directories added, and clicking on each one gives me three different sets of options on the right.

Dir1: - Uncompress. (Makes sense)
Dir2: - Uncompress / Compress Again. (Huh, why doesn't the first one have that?)
Dir3: - "Apply to All". Huh? I don't want to apply anything to all, I want to apply it to the directory I'm looking at, probably.

*(Note that I think I actually understand/can think through the problem, but shouldn't have to):
You're trying to support two different workflows available on the same screen. (Also the visual language doesn't communicate that you can select/apply changes to multiple directories at the same time)

Perhaps a separate "multiple selection" mode, with better visual changes indicating the difference, is a solution?

All valid feedback, I'm not happy with the UI either lol.

I do want to separate the queue system from the single-folder view to avoid confusion as that's the main issue
